Retirement in Progress is shaped by the perspective of someone recently retired—standing in the space between a career that once provided structure and a life after work that is still taking form. Like many entering this stage, I don’t have everything figured out. What I do have is curiosity, openness, and a growing understanding informed by both personal experience and the shared insight of others navigating this transition.

This site reflects lessons, ideas, and perspectives gathered from my research and conversations with people who are retired, nearing retirement, or thoughtfully redefining life after work. It is built on lived experience—what has worked, what hasn’t, and what continues to evolve. There are no formulas or final answers here, only honest reflection and practical exploration shaped by many voices. Retirement is not something we complete; it is something we live, adapt, and shape over time. For me, it is….. a retirement in progress.
